About Department
The Department of Agronomy focuses on crop production, soil management and sustainable farming. The Department of Agronomy, KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, Tenikolla is offering under-graduate courses for B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, degree programmes. To cater the needs of B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students, 12 courses with 26 credit hours have been designed dealing with all aspects of Agronomy.
Further, the final year students are undergoing hands on training (HoT) on organic production technology and integrated farming system (IFS). The department is having experienced teachers with requisite skills. The department possesses well developed field unit to conduct practical classes and well-equipped laboratory for hands on training to expose students to various aspects of Agronomy.
Department Activities
Providing qualitative education and develop expertise in the field of Agronomy. Imparting practical knowledge on various crops to the students by cultivating crops in college farm. Exposing students to various industries to impart practical knowledge on various aspects Conservation and sustainable of natural resources management.
