Dr. Arun C. Kanagalabavi is a competent academician and researcher in the field of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. He possesses strong credentials in teaching, research, and extension, with a focused commitment to sustainable soil and nutrient management.

He earned his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga, followed by an M.Sc. (Agriculture) from the Anand Agricultural University, Anand and completed his Ph.D. from the Keladi Shivappa Nayaka University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga, where he developed advanced expertise in soil fertility and resource management.

His research specializations include soil fertility management, phosphorus dynamics, enriched organic manures, irrigation management, hydrogel applications in agriculture, and sustainable soil health management. He has made significant scholarly contributions through peer-reviewed research publications, scientific articles, book chapters, and books, with a strong emphasis on sustainable agriculture, nutrient use efficiency, and bioremediation of soil pollution.

He has served as a Senior Research Fellow at the ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bramhavar, where he actively participated in applied research, farmer outreach, frontline demonstrations, and capacity-building programmes, strengthening the linkage between research and farming communities.

Dr. Arun’s academic excellence and research contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Best M.Sc. Dr. Goudappanavar earned his Ph.D. in Horticulture (Fruit Science) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru in 2020

Professionally, he has gained rich experience across multiple roles, having served as a Field Researcher in an Indo–German collaborative project, Field Assistant at the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, and Contractual Assistant Professor at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur. These roles enabled him to engage extensively in field experimentation, student mentoring, and extension-oriented research.

His M.Sc. research focused on the “Effect of structured water and fertilizer on growth, yield, and quality of grape (Vitis vinifera L.) cv. Manjri Naveen”, reflecting his interest in innovative production technologies.

His doctoral research, titled “Evaluation of elite tissue culture–raised banana varieties for growth, yield, and quality under the southern dry zone of Karnataka (Bengaluru conditions)”, contributed valuable insights into varietal performance and sustainable fruit production under dry-zone agro-climatic conditions. He has also qualified the ICAR–ASRB NET examination (2016), establishing his eligibility for academic and research positions at the national level.

Dr. Goudappanavar’s scholarly contributions include 16 research papers published in reputed journals, seven research abstracts, one book chapter, and ten practical manuals, reflecting his commitment to both scientific advancement and practical knowledge dissemination.

Dr. Haralakal Keerthi Kumari is a committed academician and researcher specializing in Agricultural Microbiology, with strong expertise in microbial interventions for sustainable crop improvement.

She earned her Ph.D. in Agricultural Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru. Her doctoral research, entitled “Development of Efficient Bacterial Isolates for Enhancement of Growth, Yield, and Quality in Shankhapushpi (Clitoria ternatea L.)”, focused on harnessing beneficial microorganisms to improve crop productivity and quality.

Following the completion of her doctoral degree, Dr. Kumari served briefly as a Junior Research Fellow in a DBT-funded research project, gaining valuable experience in advanced research methodologies. She successfully qualified the ASRB–NET examination in 2023, rendering her eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

Her scholarly contributions include three full-length research articles and two review papers published in NAAS-rated journals, along with six book chapters, eight popular articles, and three research abstracts. In addition, she has participated in four specialized training programmes, further strengthening her subject-matter expertise and research skills.

Dr. Kumari completed her M.Sc. in Agricultural Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Her master’s research, titled “Influence of Nano Bacterial Cellulose–Polyvinyl Alcohol Composite Films on the Shelf Life of Banana (Musa sp.) cv. Mitli”, addressed innovative approaches to post-harvest quality enhancement using bio-based materials.

Beyond academics, she has demonstrated leadership and cultural engagement. She represented University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur at the National-level Agri Unifest, securing fourth place in One-Act Play, and won first place at the State-level Rangosthva competition. During her undergraduate programme, she also served as Cultural Secretary, reflecting her organizational skills and commitment to holistic development.

Dr. Ishwari G. Hiremath is a committed academician and researcher in Plant Pathology, currently serving as Assistant Professor (Plant Pathology) at KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, Tenikolla, Belagavi, Karnataka

She completed her B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the College of Agriculture, Vijayapur. She subsequently earned both her M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Plant Pathology and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Her exceptional academic performance during the doctoral programme was recognized with a University Gold Medal, highlighting her scholarly excellence.

She brings strong expertise in plant disease diagnosis, pathogen management, and microbe–plant interactions, supported by a solid academic and research foundation.

During her Ph.D. programme, Dr. Hiremath conducted advanced research on “Variability and Management of Collar Rot (Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.) and Tripartite Interaction between Host, Pathogen, and Rhizobacteria in Soybean”. Her work contributed valuable insights into disease variability, integrated disease management strategies, and beneficial microbial interactions for sustainable crop protection.

Dr. Ishwari has demonstrated commendable research productivity, having published seven research articles in reputed national and international journals. Dr. M. H. Chigadolli is an accomplished academician in Agricultural Extension Education, with a strong blend of teaching excellence, research productivity, and field-based extension outreach.

He completed his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, followed by M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Agricultural Extension and Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.

His doctoral research, focusing on crisis management among sugarcane growers of Northern Karnataka, was recognized for its relevance and scientific rigor with the prestigious Prof. K. M. Jayaramaiah Gold Medal, underscoring his contribution to farmer-centric extension research.

Since January 2022, Dr. Chigadolli has been serving as Assistant Professor (Contract) at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, where he has delivered more than 30 course iterations across key undergraduate subjects including Agricultural Extension, Communication, Entrepreneurship Development, Agri-Journalism, Multimedia Production, and Rural Development. He has also contributed to academic enrichment through the development of practical manuals and Student READY–RAWE handbooks, strengthening experiential learning frameworks.

In addition, he has served as a resource person for more than ten training programmes, contributing to capacity building among students, farmers, and extension personnel.

Through his integrated engagement in teaching, research, curriculum development, and grassroots extension, Dr. M. H. Chigadolli continues to make meaningful contributions to agricultural education, rural development, and farmer empowerment.

A productive scholar, Dr. Chigadolli has published over 20 peer-reviewed research papers in NAAS-rated journals and has actively disseminated research findings through presentations at more than ten national conferences. His extension leadership is evident through the coordination and implementation of extensive RAWE programmes across multiple districts of Karnataka, directly benefiting several hundred farm families through participatory extension approaches, technology demonstrations, and community-based campaigns.

Dr. Madhurima Vinod possesses a distinguished academic record, having been awarded two Gold Medals for securing the highest marks during both B.Sc. (Agriculture) and Ph.D. programmes at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

Following the completion of his doctoral degree, she served as a Research Associate in Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) for nearly three years, where she was extensively involved in research and extension activities. Her work focused on promoting sustainable, low-input agricultural practices through field-based research and farmer-centric outreach programmes.

In addition, his research contributions include studies on the impact of natural farming practices on pest incidence in groundnut and black gram under the coastal agro-climatic conditions of Karnataka, strengthening scientific understanding of pest dynamics in natural and sustainable farming systems.

With a strong blend of academic excellence, applied research, and grassroots-level extension experience, he continues to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of sustainable agriculture and farmer-oriented education.

She played an active role in capacity building and technology dissemination, delivering training programmes and method demonstrations on Natural Farming practices to farmers across three coastal districts of Karnataka—Dakshin Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi. His extension efforts significantly contributed to enhancing farmer awareness and adoption of eco-friendly farming systems.

In recognition of consistent academic excellence, he was also a recipient of the UAS Merit Scholarship during both his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Dr. Nagaraja H brings over eight years of rich professional experience spanning teaching, research, and extension in the field of agricultural sciences.

Dr. Nagaraja H served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Horticulture, Mudigere for four years and six months, where he actively contributed to undergraduate teaching and academic development. He further strengthened his academic portfolio through two years of service as Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture, Bheemarayanagudi.

In addition to teaching, he has significant exposure to agricultural research, having worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM) and at University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, gaining hands-on experience in applied research and extension-oriented programmes. His cumulative experience in these domains totals one year and five months, complementing his academic career.

With a strong blend of academic rigor, research competence, and extension experience, he is deeply committed to mentoring students, advancing agricultural knowledge, and contributing meaningfully to the farming community.

Dr. Ningaraj Belagalla is a dedicated academician, researcher, and extension specialist in Agricultural Entomology, with over seven years of professional experience spanning teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and field-level extension.

He is actively engaged in postgraduate guidance, currently supervising one Ph.D. scholar and one M.Sc. (Agricultural Entomology) student, and contributes significantly to capacity building in advanced entomological sciences.

He has taught a wide range of core undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-accredited institutions, including Fundamentals of Entomology, Insect Ecology, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Insect Toxicology, Biological Control, and IPM.

In addition, he has developed academic manuals and laboratory guides in alignment with the ICAR 5th and 6th Deans’ Committee curricula, strengthening outcome-based and practical-oriented learning.

In the domain of extension, Dr. Belagalla has served as an Extension Plant Protection Officer, where he was actively involved in pest surveillance, farmer training programmes, field demonstrations, and dissemination of eco-friendly pest management technologies. His outreach efforts have contributed to improved pest management awareness and adoption among farming communities.

Dr. Belagalla has made significant research contributions, with 14 research articles published in Scopus- and SCI-indexed journals and 15 publications in NAAS-rated journals. He is also the inventor of seven granted patents related to precision pest control and advanced agricultural technologies, reflecting strong innovation and translational research capacity. Further, he has submitted externally funded research proposals to DST, focusing on climate change impacts on insect dynamics. His scholarly output also includes seven textbooks and 18 popular articles, contributing to both academic instruction and farmer-oriented knowledge dissemination.

His doctoral research on *semi-synthetic diets for Chrysoperla zastrowi sillemi significantly advanced biological control research, earning him four international and two national awards for research excellence. These recognitions underscore the scientific relevance and practical applicability of his work.

Dr. Belagalla has provided academic leadership as Assistant Dean (Online Learning), where he played a key role in strengthening digital learning ecosystems through MOOCs, certification programmes, and technology-enabled teaching–learning platforms, supporting institutional modernization and skill development.

Currently, Dr. Belagalla is engaged in advanced research on bee venom extraction technology, anionic pest management strategies under protected cultivation, and management of thysanopteran pests in chilli using integrated IPM tools, addressing emerging challenges in sustainable and high-value crop protection.

Dr. Praveen Kumar M. B. is an accomplished academician, researcher, and environmental scientist with strong expertise in Environmental Science, Forestry, and Sustainable Natural Resource Management.

He completed his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from the College of Agriculture, Hassan and obtained his M.Sc. (Agriculture) with specialization in Environmental Science from the College of Agriculture, GKVK, Bengaluru.

Dr. Praveen earned his Ph.D. in Forestry and Environmental Science from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.

A prolific researcher, Dr. Praveen has authored more than 25 scientific publications in NAAS-rated international, national, and other reputed journals and periodicals. He is also the author of a book titled “Innovations of Environmental Studies and Disaster Management”.His scholarly contributions and academic excellence have earned him more than five international awards, underscoring his impact in environmental and forestry research.

Dr. Praveen Kumar M B for his exceptional academic and research performance was recognized with two prestigious Gold Medals—the University of Agricultural Sciences Gold Medal and the Indian Society for Environmental Studies Gold Medal. He has also successfully qualified both UGC–NET and ICAR–NET in the discipline of Environmental Sciences, reflecting his strong academic credentials at the national level.

Beyond academics, Dr. Praveen is an accomplished sportsman, secured fifth position in High Jump at State-level athletic meet. He actively participated in KSCA Zonal-level cricket tournaments and represented three district cricket teams—Ballari, Tumkur, and Hassan—during KSCA leagues. Notably, he represented the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru Cricket Team three times as Captain and also represented the University (UAS, Bangalore) at the National Integration Camp during his undergraduate studies. He has participated in several sports and cultural events at district, state, and university levels, reflecting his holistic personality and leadership qualities.

Dr. Pruthvi P completed her B.Sc. (Horticulture) from the College of Horticulture, Sirsi, under the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot. She pursued her M.Sc. in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture from the College of Horticulture, Mudigere, and earned her Ph.D. in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture from KRCCH, Arabhavi, under UHS, Bagalkot.

Dr. Hegde has gained professional experience as a Graduate Assistant for six months during her M.Sc. programme and later worked as a Nursery Manager at TREC Organization, Sirsi, Uttara Kannada, strengthening her practical and managerial skills. She has published nine full-length research papers, all in NAAS-rated journals (above 4.0 rating), and has actively participated in scientific forums, including poster presentations at national conferences held at University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga.

Her M.Sc. research focused on the standardization of biostimulants on growth, yield, and quality of chrysanthemum (var. Kolar Local) under protected cultivation, while her Ph.D. research addressed the standardization of growing media, biostimulants, and drying techniques in Dendrobium orchid (var. Sonia-17) under protected cultivation, contributing valuable insights to protected floriculture systems.

Dr. Hegde is a Gold Medalist at all three academic levels, having received University and College Gold Medals for B.Sc., University Gold Medal for M.Sc., and University Gold Medal along with the Headquarters Officers Gold Medal for Ph.D. She is also a recipient of the prestigious INSPIRE Fellowship awarded by the Government of India, recognizing her research excellence and potential.

With over four years of focused research experience in sugarcane agronomy, Dr. Munnoli has actively engaged in field experiments, on-farm trials, and data-driven agronomic research. A notable achievement of his work is the development of 13 farmer-ready technologies, all of which have been included in the Package of Practices of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, directly benefiting the farming community.

His scholarly output includes 15 research articles published in reputed national and international journals, along with 53 abstracts and full-length papers presented at scientific conferences. He has participated in nearly 25 national and international conferences, delivering both oral and poster presentations. In addition, he has contributed to agricultural knowledge dissemination through 15 popular articles, 10 extension bulletins, and 3 books.

Dr. Munnoli has also been associated with externally funded research projects worth approximately ₹130 lakhs, primarily focused on enhancing sugarcane productivity and sustainability. Her areas of specialization include Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management, the Soil Test Crop Response (STCR) approach, and Land Resource Inventory, with a focus on improving soil productivity and sustainable land use planning. Mr. Adiveppa Karabannavar is currently serving as Farm Superintendent at KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, Tenikolla, where he plays a vital role in farm management, practical training, and experiential learning for undergraduate students.

He completed his Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) from the College of Agriculture, Hanumanamatti and obtained his Master of Science (Agriculture) in Seed Science and Technology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

Mr. Karabannavar has gained valuable professional experience across academia, research, extension, and the private seed industry. He served as a Seed Production Officer in the private seed sector, where he was actively involved in large-scale seed production operations. He also worked as a Seed Technologist at the ICAR–KLE Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mattikoppa, handling key responsibilities including seed production planning, certification, quality control, processing, and marketing, contributing to the successful implementation of seed production programmes. In addition, he has closely collaborated with KVK scientists in conducting on-farm trials, demonstrations, and farm management activities, strengthening farmer-oriented extension services. He has also contributed to agricultural education as a Lecturer at KLE School of Agriculture, supporting teaching, training, and research activities.

With his strong background in seed science, farm operations, extension, and hands-on training, Mr. Adiveppa Karabannavar continues to contribute significantly to strengthening practical agricultural education and skill development at KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, Tenikolla.

During his postgraduate studies, he conducted research on the effect of seed hardening and foliar application of chemicals on seed yield and quality of wheat genotypes under rainfed conditions, demonstrating strong expertise in seed technology and stress-resilient crop production.

Ms. Anuradha Kaggod is a competent agricultural professional specializing in Seed Science and Technology, with strong experience in research, dryland agriculture, and extension services.

Miss. Anuradha Kaggod completed her M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Seed Science and Technology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru.

Ms. Kaggod possesses four and half years of professional experience in agricultural research and extension. She served as a Technical Assistant under the Natural Farming Project at the College of Horticulture, Sirsi, which is an constituent college of University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, where she was involved in field-level implementation and farmer-oriented activities. Subsequently, she worked for 4 years as Young Professional-I at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Vijayapura under the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Dryland Agriculture, contributing to dryland farming systems research, technology evaluation, and extension outreach.

Her postgraduate research, titled “Optimization of Foliar Nutrition and Nipping for Seed Yield and Quality of Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]”, focused on improving seed productivity and quality through agronomic interventions. She has also qualified the ASRB National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2019.

Her research and extension contributions include two full-length research papers in NAAS-rated journals, along with three research abstracts, four extended summaries, three popular articles, and one leaf folder. Notably, she has contributed to the development of six agricultural technologies, all of which were incorporated into the Package of Practices of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, reflecting her impact on region-specific agricultural recommendations. She has also successfully completed a 30-day professional training programme, enhancing her technical and operational skills.

In recognition of her scientific engagement, Ms. Kaggod received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the International Conference on Global Research Initiatives for Sustainable Agriculture & Allied Sciences, held at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur during December 18–20, 2023.

Ms. Akshata I Channannavar completed B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture (2018–2022) from the Kittur Rani Channamma College of Horticulture, Arabhavi, under the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot. Subsequently, he/she earned a Master of Science in Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops (2022–2024) from the same institution, developing strong expertise in high-value horticultural crops.

She has demonstrated commendable research aptitude, having published three research articles in reputed journals. Academic excellence and research contributions have been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Best M.Sc. Thesis Award, Best Research Paper Award, and Best Paper Presentation Award for the presentation on “Smart Horticulture for Prosperity and Nutritional Security.”

In addition, she received the Third Best Research Paper Presentation Award for the paper titled “Exploring Nature’s Pharmacy.”

Ms. Amruta Sankannavar completed her B.Sc. (Horticulture) from the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot and earned her M.Sc. (Horticulture) from the Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur.

Ms. Sankannavar has gained valuable professional experience in both the private sector and government extension systems. She worked as a Farm Tele Advisor with Plantix, Hyderabad, where she provided real-time, technology-driven crop advisory services to farmers. Additionally, she served as a Technical Assistant under MGNAREGA in the Horticulture Department, Badami, contributing to horticultural development works, field implementation, and beneficiary-oriented programmes.

With a strong blend of academic training, research orientation, digital advisory experience, and grassroots extension exposure, Ms. Amruta Sankannavar brings valuable expertise to support horticultural education, farmer advisory services, and sustainable crop production initiatives.

Her postgraduate research focused on “Vegetative Propagation in African Marigold (Tagetes erecta) Hybrid”, reflecting her interest in ornamental horticulture and propagation techniques.
