Dean (Agri.), KLE College of Agricultural
Sciences, Tenikolla-591119

Agriculture is the backbone of our nation, and education is the force that strengthens it. At KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, Tenikolla, we are guided by the national mandate of transforming Indian agriculture through science, innovation, and skilled human resources. Our institution stands committed to addressing the emerging challenges of climate resilience, and sustainable rural livelihoods.

Established by the KLE Society and affiliated with the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, the college is proud to be North Karnataka’s first private agricultural college. Developed after years of sustained vision and effort, the college is located on a 60-acre campus in Tenikolla village, Bailhongal taluk, Belagavi District, and functions in alignment with ICAR norms, UAS Dharwad regulations, and national agricultural education standards. From the academic year 2025–26, we offer the four-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme, designed to produce competent, field-ready, and socially responsive agricultural graduates.

Our academic framework emphasizes experiential learning and skill-oriented education, with nearly 50 per cent of the curriculum devoted to practical training. State-of-the-art laboratories, discipline-specific departments, and extensive instructional and demonstration farms provide students with strong scientific foundations and real-world exposure to modern farming practices. The integration of Agri-Tech, Digital Agriculture, and Artificial Intelligence prepares students to contribute meaningfully to precision farming, smart advisory services, and data-driven decision-making in agriculture.

A defining feature of our programme is its strong farmer-centric and rural orientation. Through the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme, village adoption, and industry–farmer–scientist interfaces, students gain first-hand understanding of farming systems, value chains, and agri-entrepreneurship. Special emphasis is placed on inclusive access to education, with priority given to the children of farmers, acknowledging their critical role in sustaining the agricultural sector.

At KLE College of Agricultural Sciences, the learner remains at the centre of all academic and extension activities. Our goal is to develop agricultural professionals with sound technical competence, ethical values, leadership qualities, and a deep commitment to national development. As we move forward, we aspire to build an institution of excellence—one that stands on par with the leading agricultural universities of the state and the country.

Education is our mission, agriculture is our service, and nation-building is our purpose.
